Learning exchange among health rights activists from Guatemala and Chiapas, Mexico

This report summarizes the activities carried out during the meeting of the organizations that make up the Comité Promotor por una Maternidad Segura y Voluntaria en Chiapas (CPSMV-Chiapas), the Centro de Capacitación en Ecología y Salud para Campesinos (CCEGS), the Defenders of REDC-SALUD, and the youth promoters of the Observatorio de Mortalidad Materna (OMM). The objective of this meeting was to strengthen trust, solidarity, and relationships among defenders of health rights, midwives, and academic-activists in a safe and inclusive environment. This space fostered the exchange of knowledge and experiences, encouraging mutual learning and collective reflection on common challenges and opportunities. Participants had the opportunity to reflect on their own approaches and strategies, as well as to engage in dialogue about new ways to advance the defense of reproductive rights.
